Music is the way I best convey my emotions and share my story.
One word that I use to describe my path as a musician is “unconventional.” As a former competitive fiddler to classically-trained flutist, my perception of musicianship stems from raw emotion coupled with technical facility. I was expected to take a “traditional” path with my training, but I took a leap of faith and discovered my own identity within the flute community. Expanding my scope and willingness to step beyond my comfort zone has led me to participate in exciting performance opportunities, from recording for film to touring across the United States and Canada with a Broadway musical. Music has been an integral part of my life since I was very young, and I’m very thankful to have had many opportunities to share my craft around the world.
